Vintage Area 50 pendant light by Mario Bellini for Artemide, Italy 1976.
The iconic Area 50 by Mario Bellini for Artemide features plastic fittings to form the sculptural drape of the shade in a synthetic textile. Features a counterweight and has a pulley wheel in the ceiling rose. Needs to be hardwired in by an electrician. The long fabric cord can be adjusted to fit most ceiling heights.
Rewired and tested. No longer in production.

In good vintage condition with normal signs of wear. The shade has naturally discoloured with time and use as have some of the plastic fittings. Please note these are original editions and over 40 years old.
